Passionate about Human Engine's mission to tackle complex public sector challenges, Elrica eagerly anticipates that her energy and dedication to drive innovative and creative solutions will be encouraged by Human Engine’s supportive team culture to deliver optimal outcomes for residents and communities.
Elrica originally possesses a sciences background, and her BSc in Physics provided the foundation for her abilities in data analysis and advocacy for leveraging insights for evidence-led decision-making within the public sector. Elrica also holds a Masters degree in Public Administration from INLOGOV (The Institute of Local Government Studies), University of Birmingham. Her final dissertation focused on how design thinking can enhance local government services through innovation.
In pursuit of advancing her service design expertise, Elrica has completed a Service Design evening course at Experience Haus in early 2023. There, she applied a range of tools and techniques to provide valuable recommendations for re-designing the University of Essex's student start-up service.
Elrica's multi-disciplinary background lays a strong foundation for the Senior Consultant role. Elrica has over five years’ experience working for three London local authorities in various roles including: customer services, homelessness, housing policy and strategy, libraries and service design.
Elrica is particularly proud of her work to develop the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s Key Worker Housing Policy. Her contributions enabled key workers from seven professions across health, fire, police, care and social work, state schools and childcare to qualify for discounted rent within the borough.
One of Elrica’s stand-out qualities is her proactivity; she is driven by a deep empathy to ‘do the right thing’ and is known for going the extra mile in her previous roles. Her enthusiasm for solving complex challenges, co-designing services, and enacting positive change aligns seamlessly with Human Engine's values.
With her passion for improving public services and a strong desire for professional development, Elrica looks forward to her new career in public sector consulting to make a lasting impact for Human Engine’s clients.
