Bouremouth LGA Conference

June: A Month of Pride, Tennis Whites, and Mud-Caked Wellies

As we turn the page on our calendars and bid adieu to June, it's time to pause and reflect on a month as jam-packed as a Glastonbury campsite. Time has taken on a life of its own lately. We blinked in February, and suddenly it was the end of May. Then we sneezed, and here we are, staring down the barrel of July. Who gave time permission to fly by in such a hurry?

Much like our dear friend May, June has been buzzing with events that have captured our attention and filled our days with equal parts excitement and contemplation. From celebrating diversity and love during Pride Month to getting swept up in the suspense of Wimbledon (3 weeks of strawberries and cream!) and Glastonbury's joyous (albeit muddy) chaos, it's been a month to remember. And let's not forget the glorious arrival of summer, bringing sun-soaked picnics and the promise of balmy evenings spent al fresco.

Here at Human Engine HQ, we've been hard at work (and play), driving forward on exciting new projects and fostering meaningful connections with clients old and new. Our team has been traversing the country, from Central Bedfordshire to the Scottish highlands, proving we're not afraid to get our hands dirty in the name of progress. And in case you haven't heard, we're due to welcome two new members to our crew, Hilary and Craig!

As we look to the near future, we're excited for what's to come. We have the LGA Annual Conference on the horizon, new client partnerships to announce, and more adventures with our ever-growing team. So as we say goodbye to June and hello to July, we hope you're as excited as we are for what's next. Strap in because the Human Engine adventure is just getting started!

Read on for more expanded details on the goings-on at Human Engine.

The Human Engine Roadshow

It's been a busy month for our team, who've been crisscrossing the country like a particularly diligent postman. From the council chambers of Central Bedfordshire Council to the misty highlands of Scotland, we've been there. Johnny even swapped his chinos for a hard hat and high vis and got stuck in with our client Forestry and Land Scotland! Now that's what we call dedication!

Client Quote of the Month

Our "Client Quote of the Month" comes from Jen Green. She's the Executive Director for Strategic Change and Transformation at the Information Commissioner's Office. She has a way with words:

"The thing I most appreciate from the work we did with Human Engine was the constructive challenge, the ability to make sense and bring structure to complex problems and the sense of team with the collaborative approach to work".

We couldn't have said it better ourselves, Jen. Thank you!

We've been working with the ICO on a range of projects and are always open to conversations with those who need more support - Send a message to info@human-engine.co.uk to get started!

As we look forward to the year's second half, we'd like to extend our sincerest thanks for your continued support and subscription. Stay tuned for more updates, insights, and news from Human Engine!
