About the event

A one-day course to help you create successful bids and unlock £millions of funding. The course will cover current best practice principles and combines trainer input, discussion, practical exercises and peer group feedback.

The training is supported by a comprehensive workbook containing checklists and guidelines for use by teams writing to win.

Course objectives

The training will help participants to:

  • Identify effective processes and structures for bid writing for 2022 and beyond 
  • Understand and develop useful materials to be used as evidence to support your bid
  • Understand what evaluators want from your response and answers
  • Pick up cues and clues from the specifications and publications
  • Develop practical written techniques to ensure your bid or application stands out
  • Understand how to turn your facts and figures into compelling images and stories
  • Learn to read and answer the question, putting communities at the heart of the process
  • Summarise information effectively to tight word counts, containing value rather than volume
  • Adapt standard answers to create individual, evidenced and concise responses
  • Ongoing support from a network of peers we’ll introduce you to at the event
