About the Roles
8/10 local authorities say that they’d have to cut services or raise taxes without their commercial income. Almost every council we work with is looking to maximise its commercial revenues in a sustainable way – and this creates opportunities for experienced consultants to join our award-winning team.
We’re looking for people who have a passion for public sector commercialisation, with experience of increasing and diversifying the income streams of public authorities. This could include maximising the income from public services like leisure and culture, setting up traded services teams with schools and other authorities, or establishing publicly-owned trading companies.
The vast majority of our work in this area takes place with our local government clients – so it’s essential that applicants have knowledge and experience of commercialisation in a local government environment. This experience may come from working directly in the sector or from working closely with clients on related projects in consulting roles.
Consultants up to £45k
As a Consultant, you’ll play a critical role in delivering outstanding work for our clients on a day-to-day basis. You’ll have gained experience in a related role, demonstrated an exceptional aptitude for learning and be ready for your next challenge. This role might suit someone with 2-3 years’ experience in a consulting or public sector environment.
Senior Consultants up to £65k
Senior Consultants bring deep subject matter expertise and plenty of experience to help our clients achieve things they can’t do alone. At this level, you’ll be a seasoned change agent who will lead on projects, often being the client’s most senior regular contact. You’ll play a vital role as a subject matter expert on larger programmes – and our approach to matrix working means you’ll sometimes be leading these programmes, too.
